11/1 Three Treatments to Try This Season
Happy November!! I don’t want to be too forward but, Merry Christmas!!! (Sorry, had to do it.) Anyway– November 1st marks the true beginning of the Holiday Season. After Halloween & Diwali, this new month ushers in all the rest of the yearly traditions, and boy, do they go by fast! You’ve got shopping to do, family photos, travel plans, Marine Corps Ball, & let’s not forget the work Holiday Party, looking good while you sit in the Living Room on Thanksgiving, you might be attending function after function and let’s face it– needing an 1-2 hours plus to get ready and look/feel your best is not always ideal.
We’ve all heard the saying, if you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready. So let’s walk through a few treatments that will keep you ready for all your Holiday functions!
First Up– Dermaplaning. Yep, you knew it was coming. But in case you didn’t– here we go. Dermaplaning is advanced exfoliation that uses a scalpel– you read that right– a BLADE– not a razor, not a brow shaper, a scalpel– to remove up to six layers of dead skin cells as well as any peach fuzz. You’re left with skin that is extra smooth, glowy & hydrated. Your favorite makeup will apply effortlessly, if you even want to wear any! There is a common misconception that your facial hair will grow back thicker after dermaplaning, this couldn’t be further from the truth. So stop waiting–and stop shaving your face. Add dermaplaning to your next Signature Facial.
Up next– DPN & Skin Tag Treatments! Ya know that peppery look that Morgan Freeman has on his skin? Your grandma and aunts might have them, and you may be sporting a few as well (I’m no exception, I have several right around my eyes.). We might confuse them with moles, or call them “age spots” But they’re called DPN. We’d like to think having them makes us look polished, mature & wise, and all of these are probably true. In the service, you’re numbed for a bit and each little spot is treated one by one. Within a few days, they fall away, revealing near flawless skin reestablishing your youthfulness. This treatment, while non invasive, does have a bit of healing time to consider, as all the little spots will turn to scabs before they fall off. So it’s best to schedule this at least two weeks before any special appearances. And what an appearance it will be!
Last but certainly not least, is Microcurrent! If you’ve ever used a ZIIP or Nuface at-home device, you’ve experienced Microcurrent. It has great anti-aging benefits and is great the week of–sometimes even the day before a special occasion. Sometimes referred to as “Pilates for the face” It uses low energy electrical waves, and mimics your skin’s own frequency to gently stimulate the tissue & its regenerative processes. In treatment, a conductive mask is applied so that the current can pass through to your skin. Through sequential and intentional movements, your skin quite literally comes back to life! It can be a tiny bit tingly in some areas, you might even twitch or make a few funny faces while receiving the service. In the end you’re left with skin that is invigorated, extra hydrated, and even lifted + sculpted. Microcurrent results are cumulative, so the more you do it, the longer your results will be pronounced. Add it to your next Signature Facial and unlock your most radiant skin yet!
